My name is Elisha and I am the sole jewelry maker. I have always loved and adored jewelry and gemstones since I was a child. My mother is a jewelry maker herself and taught me each gemstone and how to create this beautiful kind of art form. It’s a wonderful skill that I am so happy I was able to acquire. I started really getting into making jewelry after working with her in her gallery, it was around 2014 and I found that it kept calling me back to it. People were starting to notice me and my talents and they began buying my jewelry! I started my brand slowly, with each piece my jewelry collection grew and Sunburst Creation Jewelry was formed.
My mother and father are avid gemstone and mineral collectors, preparers and sellers. My father is a paleontologist and geologists who passed his love of all things rocks, gems and fossils to my mother. In turn they raised a household of rock hounds, fossil lovers and gemstone connoisseurs. My mother studies history of gemstones, properties and folklore and has taught me things about them I wouldn’t have even fathomed before. With the support and love of my parents, siblings, husband and our beautiful children I am able to have time to make my passion a reality. Thusly since I have had all of this knowledge, help and time within this field: I would love nothing more than to continue to grow as an artist, business woman and explore each new page of my book of life.
I am based out of The Black Hills of South Dakota, pretty much in the middle of nowhere and that’s exactly how I like it! It lets me take the time to unwind and really enjoy the present day with my family and with my creations.
Jewelry is a beautiful kind of art that is not only pleasing to look at but it’s able to be worn, felt and loved on a daily basis. It should make you feel happy and beautiful. Because well that’s exactly why I make it! I want you to love your jewelry just as much as I loved creating it. I hand select each gemstone and really think about the pairings each one to be sure every piece is perfection.
