Extremely beautiful and stunning Magical Fairy Australian Pink Opal Ring with two sparkling Amethysts.

This Opal is so amazing and beautiful I really wanted to save it for myself. But I knew you will love it and adore it as much as I do.
Notice the change of color as the stone dances around the light. It displays vibrant pinks to purple and in the sunlight at an angle this Opal is the most neon green in an opal I have seen. A true beauty this ring will have you believing in fairies with its sparkly enchantment.

Opals have different colors and vibrancy in different lights. Sunlight, incandescent and led lights change its viewable colors!

I suggest taking your Opals into the sun to view its colors. Then taking in inside under your other lights and view the difference! It’s so amazing to watch Opals change right before your eyes.

Opal care.
**Opals are not a super soft stone (5.5-6.5 Mohs, **for comparison Turquoise is 5-6). Opal is durable and not commonly prone to cracking. Cracking more or less depends on the cut of the stone and how it was stabilized prior to it being cut. Opals are wonderful gemstones that do not lose any value and are perfect heirloom pieces. Please note that you should always care for your opals, but do not leave them in oil or water. They will not dry out. They are perfectly stable gems that are perfect for everyone. There’s many myths on opals and I’m here to tell you none are true, I hope you enjoy your opal jewelry as much as I do!

What is a doublet?
Almost all of my opals are solid but a few say Opal Doublet. You might be wondering what exactly is an Opal Doublet so let me explain. Opal Doublets are stones partially altered by opal cutters for a number of reasons. The main reasons are to; offer beautiful looking stones at more affordable prices, to alter shapes to fit jewellery settings better and to make expensive stones that would normally only make 1 piece of jewellery into many pieces of jewellery. Doublets consist of two layers (Opal and The backing) which are adhered together by glue. Most backing is brown ironstone (found with Boulder opals) or black potch.
Doublets are real opals. Please don’t constantly submerge doublets in water.
